Occupational Therapy

A person’s occupations (the things that they do) help to express their identity, how they feel and how they connect with others. Health and wellbeing can affect the things that a person wants, needs and/or are expected to do, to live and enjoy life.

Occupational therapists analyse physical, environmental, psychosocial, mental, spiritual, political and cultural factors to identify barriers to occupation. They then focus on enabling clients to overcome these obstacles to maintain or regain independence in activities of daily life, including self-care, work, leisure and community participation.

ERGONOMIC WORK STATION ASSESSMENT

This assessment is aimed at preventing or reducing existing symptoms of pain, discomfort or injury, when working at work stations.

QE Health Occupational Therapists can provide:

• Assessment of the individual work station.
• Education of ergonomic work station set up and healthy work practices.
• Provide recommendations.
