Orthotics
The Orthotic Service provides comprehensive Orthotic cover to the Rotorua and Lakes region (including Taupo). We hold both a DHB contract and work with ACC* All our services are available privately and a referral is not always required.
The Orthotic team at QE Health is an internationally trained, NZ accredited, experienced team of orthotists and technicians who treat, assess and fit the following:
· Custom or prefabricated insoles to relieve specific musculoskeletal injuries, abnormalities, or to help with rehabilitation
· Orthopaedic footwear
· Sport supports and braces
· Callipers
· Back supports
· Wrist bracing
· Trusses
· Maternity belts.
We stock and fit various grades of compression stockings for varicose veins, travel, pregnancy, post surgical, lymphoedema and for tired aching legs.
We have a combined physiotherapy and orthotic Private Gait Analysis service which aims to identify any lower limb biomechanical abnormalities that may be contribution to pain, discomfort or inefficiency during physical activity.
