Recharge 2022

The programme is completely updated utilising the latest best practice and research in pain management and specifically designed and updated to include more education and self-management techniques for our clients.
ReCharge equips our clients with all the tools and techniques to better support themselves in their own home environment - physically, socially and emotionally.
Designed to achieve enduring conceptual change and to help people become more independent at managing their pain. The programme is available for both clients with a newly diagnosed long term chronic pain condition or musculoskeletal condition as well as those that have been living with pain for a very long time.
It is highly participative.
Support and strategies taught build the participant’s confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain activity and lead fulfilling lives.

Our standard ReCharge programme content covers three weeks.

Our programme is very intensive and is split into three, week- long blocks.

Week 1 - focuses the client on setting goals, identifying barriers and discovering baseline measures for physical activities.
Week 2 - building on the foundations of education and activities in week 1: problem solving barriers, learning how to progress base line measures, reinforcing understanding about self-management.
Week 3 - planning for transferring new skills and activities into home.
We also include individual physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychology and/or counselling sessions based on each client’s individual needs.

You are not alone...

Programme content depends on your needs

All programmes are aimed at helping you regain control and management of your life.
It's the same holistic approach to healthcare we've taken for 75 years - combining Physiotherapy, Spa treatments, Occupational therapy, Gym and fitness, Psychology and Rheumatology when applicable.
Education is a focus
A class of 6 people sits with one of our team to learn about the condition they live with. When a condition is understood it is easier to deal with.
Knowledge is power
Enabling you to understand your condition is part of rehabilitation. We strip away myths and focus you on the condition and the best ways to cope with it.
You'll stay with us on-site and attend treatments from Monday (arriving Sunday evening) to Friday, depending on your programme.
We  encourage you to mingle and socialise to get to know one another, swap stories and develop friendships, as well as relax after a busy day.
Others at QE Health are going through similar experiences.
